Practical - Design Perspectives
• Design 01: Design in a style that appeals to a community sports group.
Name: Ball Bean Bags
Description: Below is a rough sketch I did in class of a football and soccer ball beanbag. When I think of sport I think of balls and I though making them into bean bags would be great for a community sports group for the team to chill out on. The materials would be made from fabric, a lot of mini foam beans, perhaps a zip to make it easy to take beans out and wash.
• Design 02: Design in a style that appeals to a fashion label
Name: Glamor Pillows
Description: Below is a rough sketch of some fashion labeled pillows. I can beautify them by adding materials such as tassels, dimontees, bows, ribbon, etc. Because of the upper class label I would stick to simple colors and focus mostly on the quality of the material and the detailing of the print/ logo.

Video Commentary
I was interested in what sought of programs were out there to make realistic interior and exterior designs. It is a video of an amazing program that makes models look realistic with changeable backgrounds. It goes through all the nic nacs of the program. You can also make it animated, etc. I would like to experiment with how my exhibit will look like. Even if I just make it in Illustrator.
GROUP EXERCISE – Changing Perspectives
Using a scale of 1 – 10,
each group assigns a quantitative rating for all the designs,
based on the criteria below
1. Accuracy in addressing the brief
2. Immediate visual appeal
3. Cross generational appeal
4. Artistic depth
My votes;
Accuracy in addressing the brief | Immediate visual appeal | Artistic depth | Cross generational appeal
Warwick | 7 | 8 | 7 | 5 |
Josie | 8 | 8 | 7 | 5 |
Sunita | 7 | 8 | 8 | 6 |
Maha | 7 | 7 | 9 | 8 |
Kath | 8 | 7 | 9 | 6 |
Here are the scores I gave myself according to the criteria
Accuracy in addressing the brief | Immediate visual appeal | Artistic depth | Cross generational appeal
Rachel | 7 | 8 | 7 | 5 |
This is sketchy. You seem to have the idea of cutting and pasting the criteria from the Power Point - but then there is nothing....

Give each work a NAME and DESCRIPTION (max 50 words) .....where is the name?
Still need the scores etc. to complete this week's work.
